What is SamCart?
As I mentioned earlier, SamCart is a one-stop solution for online business website owners of any size to optimize their sales and maximize their revenue potential. It is a tool that helps online business owners create a frictionless checkout experience for their customers, build recurring income, boost conversion rates, and give multiple payment options to their customers.
Simply put, it is a complete eCommerce solution that will boost your sales and profits.
SamCart Company culture and history
Brian Moran is the founder and current CEO of SamCart. He founded this company in 2014. Prior to that, Brian was running an information marketing business and making millions of dollars. However, his marketing business was losing some money because of the poor checkout page design on the website. Also, the checkout pages on their site were not mobile-friendly or well-optimized. Soon he realized this was a big problem, and that’s how the idea of SamCart came to his mind.
How do I use SamCart? [Getting started with SamCart]
If you are wondering how to use SamCart, then let me tell you that it is pretty simple. SamCart currently offers three different plans for small, medium, and large-scale businesses. Depending on your requirements and choice, you can opt for any of the plans and get started with a 7-day free trial.
Once you click on the Start Free Trial button, you’ll be headed to the billing page, where you need to fill in your credit card details, name, email, phone number, and what type of business you are in.
After that, you’ll be headed towards a page with a welcome email and a video of a SamCart executive showing you how to get started with the tool and some tips about information safety.
You’ll also be getting a billing invoice on your email and a welcome email regarding your account activation. Open that email and click on activate your account.
Once you do that, you’ll need to follow a 5-step account opening process, which includes the following:
1. Strong password creation
2. Entering the verification code
3. Set up your online store name, URL, and logo.
4. Select your business category.
5. And set up the payment integration system [you can also set it up later if you are confused about the payment gateway].
SamCart review for dashboard overview and walkthrough
The dashboard of SamCart looks pretty neat and clean, with an easy-to-navigate user interface.
It gives you 100% accurate data about your online store and sales performance in terms of page views that your store has, average order value, refunds made, revenue generated, and so much more. As you scroll down, you will get data about your top-performing products and services by revenue or order.
SamCart Features and Benefits
1. Online course creator platform
If you feel that you have a talent and can teach it to others, then SamCart’s course creator platform is just right for you. This is the tool that will allow you to create your course online and make money.
It is a very simple and easy-to-use tool. You can create multiple courses and names with the Cathy title and some descriptions. You can also modify each course at any time as you wish.
Don’t forget to add a course image or a video introduction about the course, which will help you get better sales and conversions. You can also modify the course URL for better SEO and optimization.
You also have a cross-sale option for more premium users to make more money by promoting products related to your course.
The only drawback of SamCart’s course creator platform is that it does not have pre-created course templates, which might have saved you time and effort. Also, there is no option for a drag-and-drop editor to build the best courses of all time.
2. Express and embedded checkouts with SamCart
If you run an online store, e-commerce site, or any product website, then your checkout experience should be top-notch for your customers. So, in order to have amazing conversations, you must have a smooth and seamless checkout flow for your customers.
Express and embedded checkout with SamCart will help you optimize the shopping experience by creating a frictionless shopping experience for your site visitors.
The best part of SamCart’s checkout process is that you can embed it on any web page of your site, allowing your customers to checkout from anywhere on your website.
This will allow you to monetize any web page, anywhere. For example, if a site visitor has decided to purchase a course on your website, then that particular customer can checkout from the page where he made a purchase instead of navigating here and there.
You can also use express checkout to create a lightweight, lightning-fast checkout process that takes just seconds to complete, vs. minutes. Express Checkout gives you a simple link you can put anywhere online that lets people pay you instantly for your product or service.
You can also create a pop-up of the checkout process and let your site visitors purchase your product directly from the page they are on instead of using a separate page. This will surely boost your sales and conversions and improve the user experience on your site.
3. Samcart one-click up-sell
Upselling is a process that will entice customers to purchase a product or service with a higher value than what they had decided to purchase earlier.
With SamCart, you can cross-sell and up-sell your products, allowing you to earn more profiles and sales.
With this feature, you can showcase more products to your customers when they are about to checkout from your site. This will automatically entice the customer to purchase more and give you the freedom to sell more.
You can create an upsell in the product settings section. The process is easy, and it can be done within a few clicks, saving you time, money, and resources, but let’s earn more profits. Upselling with SamCart can triple your profits and boost your average order value.
4. Cart abandon
Shopping cart abandonment is the major reason why most online store owners or eCommerce business owners lose major chunks of profit. So, if you want to skyrocket your sales by 30% and have a lower shopping cart abandonment rate, then start using the cart abandonment tool by SamCart.
The people who leave the cart without making a complete purchase are the hottest leads that you will ever have. So, it is of utmost importance to reach out to those people directly. When visitors land on your site and start placing an order for your product on SamCart, their information gets captured in the customer list. If they leave, SamCart will turn them into a prospect.
You can then easily get the emails of this prospect, set up an integration rule with SamCart along with your email marketing tool, and reach out to those who have abandoned the shopping cart without making a complete purchase.
5. SamCart integration
Integrations is one of the best features that is available with SamCart, allowing you to use it with a bunch of other marketing tools and grow your business with automation.
You can integrate SamCart with sales, marketing, customer support, operations, CRM, and many other tools that will help you skyrocket your sales and profits for the business.
6. Order bumps
Order bumps are similar to cross-selling and upselling, which will help you sell more in less time and put more money into your pocket. It will also help you increase your average order value and the size of your order. This will save you time, money, and effort in promoting new and additional products on your SamCart.
For example;
If visitors on your SamCart site have decided to purchase a football, then you can also show their jersey and other football accessories at the time they are making their checkout. This will entice him to purchase more, as he might need them all. Yes, you can also run offers and discounts to win their trust and make their purchase.
There are also pre-purchase order bumps that suggest a product or service that is good for your customer and will complement their existing purchases. You can add this pre-purchase order bump anywhere on the web page.
You can customize your pre-purchase bumps by getting a new design, layout, and tons of placement options on your pages. This will boost your conversion rate. Plus, you can also group multiple order bumps together and allow your customers to add even more products to their purchases.
7. Multiple payment options
Do you want to give multiple payment options to your customers? If yes, then SamCart has got your back covered. Customers now prefer multiple payment options, especially after the rise of mobile payment systems and e-wallets. SamCart has got StripeLink, through which your customers can complete their orders within a few clicks without entering their credit or debit card details. They also have an Apple Pay option for iPhone users.
That’s not all. If you want to give your customers credit and an installment facility, then SamCart has partners like Klarna, Afterpay, and Affirm, which will provide your customers with flexible payment options and installment facilities. This can make your conversions go up by 30%.
Besides, they also have traditional payment options like Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Paypal.
8. Customer list management
Yes, SamCart also has a feature for managing the details of all your customers who have either purchased your course, product, or service. You will have their name, email address, product that they purchased, and the date at which they purchased it from your store. You can also export this data to a Google Sheet or Excel file and use it for email marketing purposes.
Apart from that, you’ll not be getting any more data, which might help you segment your audience better and target them more precisely for marketing.
9. Reporting
Reporting and analytics are the backbone of any online business. It will help you get immense amounts of data about your marketing campaign and which activities are working in your favor and which are lagging behind.
SamCart’s reporting and analytics dashboard will give you pinpoint data about your top-performing products and services, sales performance, revenue generated, and a lot more. Using all this data, you can easily craft or modify your marketing activities in your favor and win more customers.
For example, if a particular product or service is not performing well in terms of sales, then you can stop promoting it and focus more on your top-performing products.
10. Sales page builder
This is my personal favorite feature of SamCart, which is also their hero product. Sales Page Builder will allow you to create and build stunning products or sales pages that are unique and can be easily customized as per your business goals. It has no code platform that will allow non-coders and beginners to create visually appealing sales pages without writing a single line of code.
It also has a drag-and-drop editor that will allow you to create and customize any sales page within a few clicks. You can add your own product images, text, description, content, links, icons, and a lot more stuff to make it look attractive.
If you are too lazy and you don’t want to waste your time designing your sales, then you can also select from a bunch of pre-created templates from various categories like business, marketing, automobile, health and fitness, recreational, and a lot more.
Besides some stunning templates, you can also integrate your sales page with a bunch of other online tools for email marketing, SEO, running paid ads for your sales page, and much more.
11. SamCart subscription feature
If you have a product or service that customers order on a monthly basis, then you must leverage this subscription feature for sure. You can set up this feature on the checkout page and give a purchasing option to customers on a recurring basis. This means customers will receive this product automatically on a monthly basis, and you will get a chance to earn a recurring commission.
Remember, this feature will only work for you if you have stunning products that customers want on a monthly basis. It can also be your service or goods.
Some examples of products and services that customers might order on a monthly basis
Soap, grocery items, shampoo, food and snacks, SEO services, consultancy services, marketing services, etc.
SamCart customer support
Customer support is the backbone of any product or software. In the case of Samcart, they have a team of in-house customer support executives who will help you resolve any query or doubt.
If your query is very genuine and common, then you can search for it, and you will be directed to a resource page that will highlight the solutions and steps you need to take to solve your issue.
If you are still not satisfied with the response, then you can raise a ticket and get a response within 24 hours from their customer support team.
Sadly, SamCart does not have dedicated live chat support for any of their plans, which is a big drawback of their platform. If you want to have dedicated live chat support, then you need to pay an additional $19 per month along with your monthly subscription fee.
I was personally not satisfied with their customer support channel.
SamCart knowledge base
After carefully reviewing this, I found that the knowledge base of SamCart is not up to par as compared to some of SamCart’s competitors and alternatives. In the name of a knowledge base, SamCart is just having blog posts and articles written that will guide you on how to use SamCart to its full potential.
If they could have included more videos, guide posts, ebooks, and PDFs, then it would have been better.

SamCart’s pros and cons
Pros;
1. Easy to use
One of the best things about SamCart is its easy-to-use interface and simple layout of the dashboard, which makes it friendly to use even by beginners. Things are pretty simple and self-explanatory on the dashboard. In case you don’t understand anything, you can raise a ticket or read their guide post in their blog section.
2. Affordable
At $79 per month, SamCart is a pretty affordable tool for small and medium-sized businesses. However, the lowest package of SamCart does lack some advanced features, which makes it go downhill.
3. Sales page builder
Every plan on SamCart comes with an awesome sales page builder and some templates from various categories to choose from. If you don’t want to spend too much time, then you can directly select any template and kickstart your sales journey.
With Sales Page Builder, you get a drag-and-drop editor that will also allow you to create a sales page and customize it right from the beginning.
4. Best checkout options
Whether you agree with me or not, SamCart has the best checkout options in the world. In fact, this tool is solely designed to ease the online checkout process for your end consumers.
5. Ability to increase conversions
Another benefit of SamCart is its ability to increase conversions for online stores and eCommerce websites with its checkout payment options, sales page builder tool, coupon and discount options, and so much more.
Cons;
1. Poor customer support
SamCart’s customer is surely the worst and quite expensive. If you want to have a live chat with them, you need to pay $12 per month extra over and above your general SamCart plan if you want to have live chat support with them. Besides, they don’t have any cell phone numbers. The only way to reach out to them is by raising a ticket.
2. No resources
Learning resources and knowledge of SamCart are poor as well. They don’t have dedicated videos, ebooks, guides, or PDFs to help beginners get familiar with their tool and learn about SamCart. They only have blog posts and a help center that will directly redirect you to blog posts.
3. Premium features are not available in the starter plan.
If you opt for their starter plan, then you will be getting very limited features. You can only create and promote your courses, products, and services. Yes, you can also add payment and checkout to the starter plan. However, additional features like upselling bumps and order bumps are not available with the starter option.
