Looking at the LinkedIn profile of the company, I did not find anything specific.  However, I could not find the profile of their founder and chief executive officer. I guess they are still a small group of employees trying to make big in the cloud storage industry.  TeraBox Company Details TeraBox claims to have 320+ million users, 20+ million daily active users from 231+ countries. They are headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, and their research and development centre is there as well. Their team consists of engineers from leading tech companies like Apple, Google, and Microsoft. However, I found none of their engineers have worked for any such company which they claim. This is false information provided by the company.  Conclusion: The false information offered by the company makes TeraBox a bit unsafe to use.  Tera Box HTTPs Check TeraBox website and application is fully secured by an SSL certificate, which means their website and app are safe. You can think of making any payment through or on their website without any hesitations. Having an SSL certificate is a must for any cloud storage provider. SSL certificate ensures that the transfer of any data between the user and the website is encrypted, meaning no one will steal your personal information. Tera Box Contact Information Check When exploring the TeraBox website, it’s concerning to note that there is no readily available contact information or customer support options. More strikingly, there’s no chat support icon on the site, which is typically a standard feature for online services to help users connect directly with customer service representatives in real-time. Another red flag is found in the website’s footer, where social media links are often displayed. While TeraBox does include icons for Facebook, YouTube, and Twitter, they notably omit a LinkedIn icon. LinkedIn is a platform known for professional networking and business transparency. The absence of a LinkedIn presence could suggest a lack of professional transparency, which is often a concerning sign when evaluating the trustworthiness of a company. Conclusion: This makes me think TeraBox is not safe to use 🙁 Tera Box Company Profile Check TeraBox is the subsidiary company of Flextech which is headquartered in Tokyo, Japan. Flextech offers information technology-related services and it is ISO-certified (ISO/IEC 27001:2013, 27018:2019, and 27701:2019), which underscores its commitment to high standards of privacy and security. However, I did not find any relevant LinkedIn profile for their company. Neither for TeraBox nor for Flextech. In my opinion, they have not shown the true picture of their company. To simply put, despite its rapid growth, TeraBox remains unfunded by external investors, and its operations are fully controlled by its Japanese management​. Conclusion: This makes me think TeraBox is not safe to use 🙁 Tera Box Domain Name Intent  TeraBox, the intent of the domain name is not very clear.  If you look at some of the better alternatives of TeraBox, like OneDrive, Pcloud, iCloud and Nextcloud, then they all give an indication to the user regarding the business or service they are offering. Navigation is very simple and all the information is mentioned on the website nicely. However, I am not very sure about the payment gateway and checkout process of the website as it looks suspicious to me. Also, the footer section of the website is incomplete and looks tidy to me. Terabox could have done more to make its website look more appealing to the users.
